Jennifer was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and has called North Vancouver home for the last 11 years. She is a Registered Jin Shin Do® Acupressurist; a unique synthesis of a traditional Japanese acupressure technique, classic Chinese acupuncture and acupressure theory, Taoist philosophy, Qigong (breathing and exercise techniques), Reichian segmental theory and principles of Ericksonian psychotherapy.
Jennifer is a guest acupressurist at Time to Heal in Duncan BC; a community of socially conscious, positively focused individuals. Jennifer has been trained in 3 Cubes of Light acupressure by Andrew Louisy (co-founder of Time to Heal), which identifies an individual's healing points to stimulate healthy polar flow. Jennifer is apprenticing to teach a workshop series aimed at helping people understand a balanced self. Jennifer also does acupressure at Laserase Skin Clinic in North Vancouver, as well as laser tattoo removal and radio frequency treatments.
She has been involved with the UBC Faculty of Medicine in various capacitites for the last 10 years. Her current role is with Undergraduate Medical Education, and previous role as a program coordinator for a graduate program for medical professionals; a fusion of business and medicine. She recently became the Sustainability Team Leader for the department and is implementing projects across campus to conserve energy and reduce waste.
Jennifer also makes jewelry, malas, organic lip balm and lip tints, natural hair spray, and body butter; available for sale at the Vancouver Waldorf School, Time to Heal and privately.
